Remember when Australian rock, indie, punk and dance music ruled the airwaves, your CD player was permanently on and a summer road trip wasn't complete without a killer playlist?
Well, that soundtrack is coming back to life with Garage Days 2027, a brand-new all-ages festival heading to Richard Hamilton Wines in McLaren Vale, South Australia, on Saturday 6 February 2027.
And the lineup is basically a greatest-hits collection of the era, with Spiderbait, Jebediah, The Potbelleez, Gyroscope, The Delta Riggs and South Australian favourites The Lizards all hitting the stage.
Headlining the day are Australian rock legends Spiderbait, bringing three decades of hits including Black Betty, Buy Me A Pony and Calypso. Jebediah will deliver their infectious alternative-rock classics, while The Potbelleez, Gyroscope and The Delta Riggs bring their own very different flavours to a lineup built around the music that defined a generation.
The idea behind Garage Days is simple: six bands, one big summer day and a whole lot of nostalgia.
Set among the vineyards of McLaren Vale, the festival will pair live Australian music with food, wine and a relaxed summer atmosphere. It's also all-ages, giving parents the chance to introduce their kids to the bands they grew up listening to — and perhaps explain why they still know every word.
Keeping things moving between sets will be Adelaide MC and DJ JAKIJ, who will take on hosting duties and hit the decks between the live performances.
The first 500 early bird tickets will be just $99 + booking fee, with tickets going on sale Tuesday 6 October at 9am.
